Specialized Davidi is a remineralizing salt mixture for the mineral rebalancing of the water intended for the maintenance of all the shrimps requiring neutral pH water (pH close to 7.0), such as the Neocaridina davidi; allowing to create the ideal ecosystem for their breeding and reproduction.
Together with the breeding of neutral water shrimps, it promotes excellent plant growth, allowing the creation of an aquarium, as well as ideal for the life of neutral water shrimps, also densely planted and beautiful to look at.
Specialized Davidi does not need CO2 to dissolve completely and quickly.
Starting from demineralized water (for example from osmosis or ion exchange resins), Specialized Davidi allows to obtain the ideal water for the breeding of Neocaridina davidi and other shrimps requiring neutral pH and at the same time for the cultivation of aquatic plants, in a very simple way.
Specialized Davidi simultaneously rebalances total hardness (generally measured in dGH) and alkalinity (generally measured in dKH), bringing them both to ideal values for the breeding of shrimps requiring neutral pH water.
It also provides a dose of potassium that favors the growth of plants without the need for further additions (not recommended).
Main features of Specialized Davidi
With the use of Specialized Davidi at the recommended dosages (3 grams every 10 liters) you can be sure that all the indispensable cations and anions are present in quantities and reciprocal ratios that are ideal for the aquarium dedicated to the breeding of the shrimps requiring neutral pH, obtaining in particular the following advantages:
• Conductivity
It settles on a very low value (about 380 µSiemens/cm).
Suitable for breeding neutral water shrimps, but at the same time ideal for plants.
• Alkalinity
It is brought to the value of 3 dKH.
This KH value provides the buffer necessary to avoid dangerous pH fluctuations and allows it to be easily buffered in the 6.6-7.5 range (due to the relationship between alkalinity, pH and quantity of dissolved CO2).
This interval is correct for the breeding of these shrimps and suitable for obtaining a good growth of aquatic plants (possibly also in conjunction with the diffusion of gaseous CO2).
• Potassium
A potassium concentration (29.4 mg/l) is reached such as to prevent deficiencies even on the most delicate plants and such, with regular water changes and in full compliance with the protocol, that it does not require specific integration (indeed not recommended).
• Chloride
The chloride anion is kept at low concentrations (2.0 mg/l).
Concentration that still guarantees to avoid deficiencies of this microelement, but stimulates plants to balance the internal cations not through the chloride anion but through the synthesis of organic acids and the use of their anions, which play an important role in absorption. translocation and use of microelements.
• Calcium and magnesium
They are supplied in adequate quantities (29.7 mg/l and 8.0 mg/l respectively) and mutually balanced (ratio of approximately 3.7: 1).
• Sulfur
Sulfur is kept at a sufficiently high value (34.2 mg/l as sulfur), given the great importance that this meso-element plays in plant nutrition (often considered as the fourth macro element ).
Storage
Specialized Davidi is only poorly hygroscopic and therefore does not pose particular storing problems.
In any case, it is always advisable to keep it with the hermetic undercap inserted and in a dry environment.
Should it get wet for any reason, it can be restored to its original consistency by keeping it for a few days in its open jar in a warm ad dry environment or inside a ventilated refrigerator.
