ZEO1 is a natural zeolite, specifically selected to reduce the ammonium / ammonia content in fresh and marine water.
Unlike most of the products on the market, composed of Sodium Clinoptilolite, Zeo1 is made up of a mix of natural Zeolites specially selected to distinguish Zeo1 thanks to its potassium concentration, its high contact surface (about 400 m2/g) and its very high CEC (Cation Exchange Capacity, about 2.6 meq./g).
It has very high performance and great speed of action, avoiding possible toxicity from the accumulation of dangerous nitrogenous substances (Ammonium, Nitrites) and other pollutants.
Its composition also allows Zeo1 to act as a clarifier, helping to keep the water crystal clear.
For these reasons, where necessary, ZEO1 is very useful for keeping the tank in chemical / biological equilibrium; avoiding damage to the animal population and preventing algal blooms.
It can be used in both fresh and saltwater aquariums, but its potassium content makes it particularly useful in freshwater planted aquariums..
