Specialized Cantonensis is a mixture of salts for the mineral rebalancing of water intended for the maintenance of all soft water shrimps, such as Caridina cantonensis; allowing the creation of the ideal ecosystem for their breeding and reproduction.
Specialized Cantonensis does not need CO2 to dissolve completely and quickly.
Starting from demineralized water (for example from osmosis or ion exchange resins), Specialized Cantonensis allows to obtain an ideal water for the breeding of Caridina Cantonensis and other soft water shrimps, in a very simple way.
Specialized Cantonensis rebalances total hardness (generally measured in dGH) making a negligible/minimal contribution in terms of Alkalinity (generally measured in dKH), bringing them both to ideal values for the rearing and reproduction of soft water shrimps.
Main features of Specialized Cantonensis
With the use of Specialized Cantonensis at the recommended dosages (2 grams every 10 liters) you can be sure that all the essential cations and anions are present in quantities and reciprocal ratios ideal for the aquarium dedicated to the breeding and reproduction of soft water shrimps, achieving the following benefits in particular:
• Conductivity
It settles on a very low value (about 250 µSiemens/cm).
Necessary for the breeding and reproduction of soft water shrimps.
• Alkalinity
Present, but at a very low value (0.25 dKH).
This KH value provides a minimum of buffer to avoid dangerous pH fluctuations and allows it to be easily buffered in the range 6.0 - 7.0 (due to the relationship between alkalinity, pH and quantity of dissolved CO2).
This interval is correct for the rearing of soft water shrimps.
• Potassium, Chloride
Small quantities are added (4.2 and 2.4 mg/l respectively) such as to balance the remaining cations and anions, but to keep the conductivity low.
• Calcium and magnesium
They are supplied in ideal quantities (30.3 mg/l and 7.6 mg/l respectively) and mutually balanced (ratio of about 4:1).
• Sulfur
Sulfur is kept on a sufficiently high value (34.2 mg/l as sulfur), given the great tolerability of animal organisms to this element.
Storage
Specialized Cantonensis is only poorly hygroscopic and therefore does not pose particular storing problems.
In any case, it is always advisable to keep it with well closed and in a dry environment.
Should it get wet for any reason, it can be restored to its original consistency by keeping it for a few days in its open pouch in a warm and dry place or inside a ventilated refrigerator.
